MT4 or MT5 for a beginner?

As you understand, I decided to fully dive into Forex trading, knowing in advance that it wouldn’t be easy, but I’m also very ready to figure things out and trade successfully. Not long ago, I thought there were only Forex brokers, but now I’ve found information that there are also trading platforms like MT4 and MT5, and choosing between them should be done wisely. So, do you have any recommendations, opinions, or advice? I’m ready to accept anything.

I only know that these trading platforms are kind of like a set of tools and functionality on which Forex brokers operate. It seems that it makes sense to first understand the functionality of trading platforms and then look for MT4 and MT5 brokers.

I’ve read that MT4, as the older version, is more suitable for beginners since the functionality is simpler, and in general, there are fewer tools and other features that don’t overwhelm a newcomer. But I would still choose an MT5 broker right away.
